Exciting news! Please join us in welcoming Dr. Stephen Ferguson back to the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service as he takes on the role of Assistant Medical Director of Clinical Practice. Dr. Ferguson brings exceptional expertise from his training at St. George's School of Medicine, his Emergency Medicine Residency at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital, and his fellowship at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education. He is a Senior Associate Consultant in Community Emergency Medicine for the Northwest Wisconsin Region and has been actively involved in EMS as a medical director for Menomonie Fire, Ellsworth Ambulance Service, and as assistant medical director for EMS and Emergency Management at MCHS NWWI.
In his new role, Dr. Ferguson will help lead clinical practice across the ambulance service, chair the Clinical Practice Committee, and support the development of Patient Care Guidelines. He will also provide online medical consultation, serve as an on-call EMS physician, and assist with quality reviews of patient care records and related materials.

Congratulations, Michael Horner!
Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service is excited to announce that Michael Horner has accepted the role of Operations Supervisor, supporting our Duluth/Superior team. In this position, Mike will help guide ambulance operations while supporting frontline teams, strengthening partnerships, and advancing patient care across the region.

Mike began his EMS career with Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service in 2004 and has served in several leadership roles, including Lead Paramedic, Field Training Officer, and Assistant Supervisor of St. Cloud Operations. His collaborative work with regional partners and long-standing service on systemwide initiatives reflect his deep commitment to excellence and teamwork.

As Mike transitions to Duluth, we thank him for his many contributions in St. Cloud and wish him continued success in this next chapter. Please join us in congratulating him!
