Thelma and Sandy opened the boutique in 1982 due to a demand for products and services for women who had a mastectomy or other breast related surgery. Thelma had worked as a corsetiere at a leading department store for over 28 years, and Sandy was working as a registered nurse at the time. They each brought a unique perspective to the boutique which has evolved into what the business is today.
Thelma’s Boutique still focuses on the bra fitting needs of women after breast surgery including a mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction, reduction or augmentation. Our clientele also includes women who may be genetically imbalanced and women who just need to be measured for a proper-fitting bra. Thelma's also carries products to help manage upper extremity lymphedema and headwear for those undergoing chemotherapy treatments. We provide pocketed activewear and swimwear; and can also sew in pockets and make alterations to products if necessary. Most importantly, Thelma's board certified fitters provide one on one personal service to ensure the best fit and experience possible for each customer.
