For over 35 years, Thelma's has taken pride in providing emotional support and expertise when fitting for post mastectomy products. Our Board Certified staff is qualified to fit the best products for women after breast surgery, women who may be genetically imbalanced or women who need proper size measurements.

Dear Friends,

As we settle into 2025, I wanted to take a moment to check in. How is the year unfolding for you so far?

We know that the landscape around us is filled with uncertainty—federal policies in flux, funding freezes, and challenges we can’t yet predict. Add to that the intense weather patterns faced throughout our country, and for many in our community, the heartbreaking loss of the Buffalo Bills. It’s been a lot to process. It’s understandable if you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just plain tired.

But through it all, one thing remains constant: the Coalition is here. Our staff, Board, and dedicated volunteers continue to do the work—advocating, educating, funding research, and supporting those impacted by breast or gynecologic cancer. No matter what else changes, our commitment to this community does not.

In many ways, this uncertainty mirrors the experience of receiving a diagnosis. The path forward isn’t always clear, and obstacles arise that we never anticipated. Yet just as we support each other through the unknowns of cancer, we will navigate these broader challenges together. Because together, we are resilient. Together, we are stronger.

If you need support—whether it’s connection, resources, or simply someone to listen—please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here for you, today and every day.

Our Story

Thelma and Sandy opened the boutique in 1982 due to a demand for products and services for women who had a mastectomy or other breast related surgery. Thelma had worked as a corsetiere at a leading department store for over 28 years, and Sandy was working as a registered nurse at the time. They each brought a unique perspective to the boutique which has evolved into what the business is today.

Thelma’s Boutique still focuses on the bra fitting needs of women after breast surgery including a mastectomy, lumpectomy, reconstruction, reduction or augmentation. Our clientele also includes women who may be genetically imbalanced and women who just need to be measured for a proper-fitting bra. Thelma's also carries products to help manage upper extremity lymphedema and headwear for those undergoing chemotherapy treatments. We provide pocketed activewear and swimwear; and can also sew in pockets and make alterations to products if necessary. Most importantly, Thelma's board certified fitters provide one on one personal service to ensure the best fit and experience possible for each customer.
