I've always been interested in health and wellness and truly believe that we owe it to ourselves to take control of our health and wellbeing, through diet, activity and leading a balanced life. I say this knowing that it’s not easy but that it is doable. All we need is the knowledge, tools and a healthy support system. I am currently enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the world’s
largest nutrition school, and will graduate in June with a Health Coach certification. I plan to target professional women who are working to maintain a healthy work-life balance. I spent over 28 years as a professional in corporate America, happily married and raising two daughters. Balancing work and home was always my challenge and my biggest area of frustration – by far. I enjoyed my job, the challenges and all that I learned through the years but, the demands of the job including long hours and travel took its toll on my health both physically and mentally. It was not until I took control and started consciously scheduling activity into my day and planning my meals (most of which I ate in the office) that I started to slowly take back control of my health. Interestingly, I ran an informal program with women that I worked with designed to help all of us – in a friendly, competitive manner – increase activity and in a roundabout way, increase our social activity with like-minded women. The program was so popular that we ran the program two more times – each time the participant base growing. I found out I was not alone in fact far from it with the challenges and frustrations of work-life balance. This is where I come in… I offer a 6 month How to Be a Healthier Version of YOU program that will help you to become a healthier version of yourself in all aspects of your life. I will support you, provide guidance and the tools you need to help you identify and ultimately achieve your goals. In addition to the 6 month program, I also offer Private or Group Yoga Classes. I’m a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT200) with CEU’s in both Anatomy and certification in Restorative Yoga. Yoga is a passion of mine and I use it with clients to help reduce stress and relax and calm their mind as well as increase their strength and improve flexibility. Contact me for a free health consultation and see how we can bring out the best and healthiest version of YOU. Sincerely,
Barb
