TW: this may be a very challenging (possibly polarizing) topic. But I am putting it out there anyway. And this is the challenge / invitation to bring more compassion, more radical empathy, and unifying love into our society.
To everyone.
To the people who challenge our ideals.
To the people who hurt us.
To the people we call ‘monsters’.
YES: to those people who we look at and go “how can you be so heartless”.
Because THESE are the energies and souls that need a different kind of uplifting.
Not gonna lie: it's REALLY hard to find compassion for abusers.
But this idea has been brewing within me for a while now, and just came to an “aha” moment. In part from a concept that is often presented in my favorite true crime podcast. And this is when they are talking about the childhood in the backstory of the protagonist (aka m*rd3rer). And that paraphrased concept is "feel bad for the child, not who they became”.
So taking this concept to a different place:
You don’t need to “befriend the enemy”.
But you CAN:
💫 Send healing to the lost piece of the soul.
💫 Send compassion to the part of self that was wounded, thereby creating the abuser.
💫 Send a message of love to the higher self that exists out there, and invite them to come closer.
And maybe… Just maybe collectively we can create a shift in consciousness.
And if this feels like something you can't do, that's OK too. Keep being true to YOUR authenticity and don’t force what’s not ready.
But let the seed of this idea ruminate around a little bit.
And continue shining your light into this world.
