In a medical first, UR Medicine scientists have manipulated individual cells to help the body repair tendons after surgery.

Severed tendons are generally repaired surgically but often heal poorly. Our Center for Musculoskeletal Research is one of only a handful of centers around the world focusing on tendon healing at the cellular level, leading to new treatments for a common but poorly understood injury.
