Today is a milestone in Trillium Health's history! Congressman Joe Morelle and Senator Chuck Schumer have announced that Trillium Health will receive $3 million in federal funding to increase access to healthcare and improve the well-being of low-income families and historically marginalized communities in the Greater Rochester area. In addition, this funding will convert Trillium Health into a Federally Qualified Health Center, which will increase our access to federal resources and allow us to serve more people - regardless of their ability to pay. Trillium Health was proud to join members of the FQHC Look-Alike Advocacy Coalition for a presentation on Capitol Hill and a meeting at the White House. FQHC Look-Alikes are held to the same clinical, administrative, and financial standards as full-FQHCs, however, they do not receive the same funding or benefits. Look-Alikes serve over 1 million patients across the U.S. and they are an important part of the safety net.
