We are a judgement-free zone where everyone is welcome and respected. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center Inc. provides comprehensive health care, mental health counseling, adult education, advocacy and social work services to individuals and families who are under and uninsured. Any uninsured or underinsured individual is welcome through our doors. The Center serves approximately 3,500 individuals who have 22,000 appointments per year. Patients and clients come primarily from the Rochester area and surrounding counties; however, there are no geographic or other limitations to our services. It was wonderful seeing our friends today! We were joined by folks from Monroe County, Starbridge, UR Medicine, and the community at large for Breakfast at the Center. We had fun conversations about the new renovations and MOE, and how our friends could help in amplifying our mission of creating a healthier community. Our volunteer gardeners have been working hard for a bountiful harvest this year.
In addition to their usual vegetables, our volunteers were able to try vegetables originating from Africa, thanks to the Rochester Garden Club. We now have flavorful (and spicy) peppers, white eggplants, white okras, and more to share with our clients and neighbors. They have also added to our harvest by bringing us overflow from their personal gardens to share.
This couldn't be possible without the time and care

Where Health is a Community Effort

St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center Inc. provides comprehensive health care, dental care, mental health counseling, complementery medicine and social work services to individuals and families who lack access to health insurance. Our fastest growing service, health care access, can help you examine your health care insurance options. Our funding comes from three primary areas: grants, client fees, and individual donations. More than three-quarters of our funding comes from donations from people like you! The Center's funding creates an annual budget of $1.6 million. The Center serves approximately 3,500 individuals who have 15,000 appointments per year. Patients and clients come primarily from the Rochester area and surrounding counties; however, there are no geographic or other limitations to service.
