On Saturday, Villa of Hope staff and parent leaders had a day full of sharing stories, learning, and fun at the Healthy and Equitable Futures Community Collaborative.

During our time together in the collaborative we focus on building family leadership and voice, enhancing children’s social/emotional supports, and improving racial equity and ensuring representative and inclusive systems in our community.

Thanks so much to Greater Rochester Health Foundation (GRHF) and National Parent Leadership Institute (NPLI) for your partnership over the last SEVEN years! Looking forward to the positive work we’ll be continuing to accomplish together in our community.

A beautiful evening inspired by our Portraits of Hope silent auction gift — an Authentic Indian Dinner Experience hosted by Chetna & Abhas.

From homemade appetizers to rich flavors and warm hospitality, this night was a celebration of culture and connection.

Today, we pause to remember 9/11 - a day that forever changed us but also showed us the strength of unity. In the face of loss, we were reminded of what truly matters: family, freedom, safety, and love.

No matter our differences, we all share the same hopes, to live with peace, to care for one another, and to know our loved ones are safe.

As we honor those we lost and those who served, may we carry forward the spirit of compassion and unity that rose from that day. Together we are stronger.
