I wanted to invite you all as we host our 2nd pregnancy and infant loss memorial walk! This will be on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00–11:00 AM at KMTelecomm Stadium in Kasson, MN.

This event is incredibly personal to me. My daughter Brynlee was stillborn at 26 weeks on May 31, 2024, and we lost her far too soon. She is the reason behind everything we do—creating a space where families feel seen, supported, and not alone in their grief.

This free, family-friendly event is a morning of remembrance, hope, healing, and community support for families affected by pregnancy and infant loss. Together, we will honor the many babies gone too soon with sweet memorial moments and meaningful tributes while walking alongside one another in love and support.

In addition to the memorial walk, families can enjoy a variety of activities and treats including a silent auction, hair braiding & tinsel, chair massages, face painting, breakfast sweet treats, a coffee cart, and an ice cream truck. Whether you come to remember, support, walk to honor your own baby, or simply stand beside grieving families, all are welcome as we gather together to bring comfort, connection, and hope to our community.

A 2025 study published in AJOG adds powerful, up-to-date data showing associations between doula care and improved maternal and newborn outcomes.

Key Maternal Outcomes:

More vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC): For every 100 patients who received doula care, there were 15 to 34 additional VBACs compared with those without doula care.

Higher postpartum follow-up attendance: 5 to 6 more per 100 received postpartum office visits.

Key Neonatal / Infant Outcomes

Increased exclusive breastfeeding rates: Babies whose families had doula support were more likely to breastfeed exclusively.

Fewer preterm births (and early preterm births): Doula-supported births showed a reduction in preterm birth rates.

In short, the study links doula care with improvements in birth outcomes — across birth mode (more VBACs), infant health (less prematurity), and early infant care (breastfeeding, postpartum follow-up).

✅ Shorter hospital stay & faster recovery
✅ Baby gets beneficial bacteria from birth canal
✅ Easier breastfeeding start

❌ Painful without epidural 😂
❌ Rîsk of tearing and stitches 😬
❌ Can be long and exhausting!

🏥 C-Section - Real Talk:

✅ Planned & scheduled - no surprise 3am labour! 😂
✅ No tearing
✅ Lifesaving when medically necessary

❌ Major surgery - 4 to 6 weeks recovery!
❌ That incision pain is NO joke 😬
❌ Higher r!sk of infection and blood clots

😂 Things That Need To Stop:

❌ "CS mamas didn't really give birth" - She had her abdomen cut open. SHE GAVE BIRTH! 👏🏽
❌ "Vag!nal delivery makes you loose" - False and very rūde 😂
❌ "CS is the easy way out" - Try recovering from surgery with a newborn first 😂
❌ "Natural is always better" - The SAFEST delivery is always the best one!

💬 There is NO trophy for how you delivered your baby! 🏆
No gold medal for pushing through pain.
No shame in having a C-section.
The only goal is a healthy mama and a healthy baby! 👶🏽
