Meet Tara Caruso, Registered Nurse, Practice Manager, St. Mary's Family Medicine/ Orchard Family Medicine
If you want to hear a true story about growth opportunities at Rochester Regional Health, just ask Tara Caruso, who started as a medical secretary and now works as both a nurse and practice manager.
“I am motivated daily to make a difference. In the healthcare realm, we have the distinct ability to affect someone's life. Knowing that I can put a smile on someone's face with kindness and a smile when they may not be at their best is so important. It is imperative to me to show that we care about their health and that they are not just a name. Also, watching my team grow, learn, and take pride in the work they do makes me so proud and motivates me to give 150% always,” she says.
Tara oversees two federally qualified health center family medicine practices and is responsible for the day-to-day operations. In addition, she works two to three evenings a week as a nurse at RRH Urgent Care locations.
Tara’s experience has also equipped her with solid career suggestions.
“My biggest career advice is to take pride in your work. Always be willing to go the extra mile and help anyone in need, even if it is "not your job." Hard work and dedication pay off. Do not do it for the money; do it for the love of the work that you do, the greater good, and helping those in need.”
