We live for empowering neurodivergents, LGBTQ+ folx, and adults who’ve experienced emotional neglect to be their most authentic selves and live a life aligned with their own personal values. Spotted Rabbit Creative Arts Therapy is a group of licensed art therapists offering psychotherapy and therapeutically minded classes for youth ages 5+ and adults of all abilities. Utilizing a combination of talk therapy and art making we take a trauma-focused, neurodivergent and LGBTQ affirming, action oriented approach to therapy in order to help you live an authentic life aligned with your own personal values. Our therapists specialize in complex trauma/childhood emotional neglect, LGBTQ issues and gender exploration, developmental disorders including ADHD and autism, disordered eating, and dissociative disorders.

Participants will have access to neat fabric, beads, and colorful threads as they practice the meditative art of hand sewing with an embroidered bracelet or bookmark, or other sewing project of their choice. Hosted by our newest Spotted Rabbit therapist and LGBTQ specialist, Kyle Lang, LCAT-P.

Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday to celebrate 10 amazing years of serving the local community! We had a blast engaging our child parts in play with slime making, boondoggle and tie-dye (which I unfortunately didn’t get any pics of).

If you missed our event yesterday the art show and sale will continue through Saturday 9/6. We encourage you to stop by to view the art, or buys some art, during open hours 9-6:30 M-F and 9-4 Saturday at our Pittsford studio at 1169 Pittsford-Victor Rd. We’ll also be posting artwork here in coming days.

Q***r Art Night is here! This month's projects focus on the meditative art of hand sewing and as always our groups are meant to be safe and supportive places for LGBTQIA+ folks to get together. Q***r Art Night is hosted by our newest Spotted Rabbit therapist, Kyle Lang, LCAT-P.

Wednesday August 13th 6-8pm - Teens (ages 13-17) - embroidered bracelet or bookmark
Tuesday August 19th 4:30-6pm - Kids (ages 5-8) - abstract sewing

Here to share another amazing piece of client artwork from Dan P. When you have a large cat, you need a large cat bed! Inspired by several designs online, Dan created this cat bed/side table out of reclaimed wood. He then used the sewing machine for the first time (total natural!) to create a fluffy place for the purrrfect catnap.
