Music is a vital, non-pharmacological tool in nursing homes that significantly improves quality of life by reducing agitation, stress, and depression in seniors. It enhances cognitive function, eases dementia symptoms, promotes physical movement, and fosters social connection. Music provides comfort, triggers positive memories, and improves communication for residents. Yesterday at Rochester Center we had open Karaoke ! Residents were able to play instruments along and sing along with the music playing in the activities room. Please join Summer and Ty for our next music activity tomorrow with Music and Manicures at 11:00am!
