The convention is upon us!

Happy Spring, members of our Rochester NYMHCA Chapter, Mental Health Counselors of Greater Rochester!

Just a reminder - we will not have an April meeting, because we will be at the NYMHCA CONVENTION in Albany, April 10-12! We're looking forward to seeing you there!

Here's how we will connect while in Albany:

- We will be wearing our chapter pins so we can recognize each other. If you haven't picked one up at one of our chapter meetings, visit our chapter table at the convention where you can get a pin, as well as other chapter swag!

- We will have a chapter social meeting in the bar of the convention hotel from 5:30-6:00 Saturday to meet and greet each other.

- Look for Mental Health Counselors of Greater Rochester table signs at various convention events so we can sit together: 4/10: 6:30 - Opening Reception; 4/11 12:00 - Lunch and Keynote Speaker; 4/12 8:15 -Closing Speaker

A reminder about our February chapter meeting! Come hear about the Monroe County FIT Team!

First hour is our business meeting and the second will be a presentation on the Monroe County FIT (Forensic Intervention Team) by Lindsay Baron, LCSW, and Aubrey Baldauf, LMSW. The FIT team coordinators with 11 law enforcement agencies in Monroe County to partner mental health clinicians with law enforcement offers to provide immediate assistance to people in crisis.
