LINCS - Laboratory of Informatics and Network Computational Studies A transdisciplinary group at URoc and RIT of network and social informatics researchers in AI, stati Co-Directed by Drs. Silenzio, Eric Caine, Prof. Prof.

The work of the Laboratory of Informatics and Network Computational Studies (LINCS), capitalizes on the increasing ubiquity of social media and Internet technologies to bring a public health and prevention research focus to the fields of social informatics, machine learning, and network analysis to support public health and public policy needs, risk factor research, and the translation of findings

into prevention-oriented clinical and community initiatives. Vince Silenzio (U of R) and Chris Homan (RIT), LINCS is built upon an interdisciplinary foundation of research faculty from psychiatry (Drs. and Chair, and Ann Marie White, Assoc. Prof.), computer science (Drs. Homan, at RIT, Jiebo Luo, Assoc. of Computer Science, and Henry Kautz, Director of the U of R's Institute of Data Science), biostatistics and computational biology (Dr. Xin Tu, Professor), and family and community medicine (Dr. Steven Barnett, Assoc. Professor). The lab focuses on collaborative work with communities and community-based partners in the US,South Africa, and China, and with industry partners in social media.
