While treating his patients who bravely battle colore**al cancer, Dr. Derek Ebner wrestles with the possibility of this disease touching his own life as well.

“As an individual who is (younger) than age 50, and especially realizing the increasing rates of colore**al cancer have really been observed in those less than age 50 … I have two young boys at home, 8 and 4, so it does bring just a heightened awareness.”

Support looks different for everyone.
For some, it’s a stuffed toy.
For you, it might be a colonoscopy.

Colore**al cancer screening saves lives. Most people at average risk should begin screening at 45 years old. Options include colonoscopy (every 10 years if normal) or stool-based tests done at home at recommended intervals.

The goal? Detect and remove precancerous polyps before they become cancer or catch cancer early, when treatment is most effective.

Protect your peace. Protect your colon. Reach out if you need help getting started 💙

Did you know?

Colore**al cancer is the LEADING cause of cancer death for men and women under 50
BUT
It is one of the most PREVENTABLE cancers when caught early. It’s important to GET SCREENED and not dismiss any concerning symptoms or assume they are nothing.

Discuss a colonoscopy with your healthcare provider if you are experiencing any of the following:

• Re**al bleeding
• Persistent abdominal pain
• Changes in bowel habits (such as new constipation, diarrhea, or narrowing of stools)
• Unexplained anemia (found by a lab test, usually related to fatigue)

Early evaluation🟰Early detection🟰Significantly improved outcomes. If you have symptoms, reach out to your local provider right away. You can learn more here 👉 https://mayocl.in/4sty3B
