Hello, New York Chips fans. My name is Chris Whitehair, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the brand-new owner of New York Chips!

For the past four years, I’ve worked side-by-side with the New York Chips team. Through my other business, Flower City Flavor Company, I am the one behind the Salt and Vinegar chip flavor. This isn’t a new world for me. I know this brand, I love this brand, and New York Chips has changed my life for the better twice now. I understand the quality, the history, and exactly how much this brand means to our community.

Change can be scary, but my mission is simple: to honor the legacy built by the Marquart family while leading New York Chips into an exciting new chapter. I am committed to ensuring these remain the best-tasting chips in your pantry. Most importantly, I promise you: I will keep New York Chips FUN!

I have a lot to learn, but I’ve already started putting in the work. I’ll never forget my first day on the road. A 16-hour stretch that started with a 5:00 a.m. alarm and ended with my shoes off at my door at 9:00 p.m. I traveled across multiple counties to meet our retailers and store managers, restocking your favorite flavors along the way. I was exhausted and barely knew where I was on the map, but I loved every second of it.

A special shoutout to Laura for showing me the ropes; her professionalism and patience were invaluable as I hit the ground running.

The kindness I’ve encountered so far has been extraordinary, and the food has been a definite perk! The turkey sub from Ashville General was among the best I’ve ever had, and the Buffalo chicken wing soup from federal_meats was so good I practically drank it from the bowl. After visiting Sauders Store, I had to use every bit of self-restraint not to fill the delivery truck back up with everything from their shelves!

It’s clear that I’m not just joining a business community; I’m joining a community of Western New York legends. I am incredibly privileged to have this opportunity, and I do not take it lightly. I can’t wait to meet more of our retailers, distributors, collaborators, and our awesome customers.
