🚩 Cold hands and feet?
Persistently cold extremities can be a sign of reduced blood flow, which is often associated with low nitric oxide availability. While cold weather plays a role, if your hands and feet are always cold, it may be your circulation asking for support.

The good news?
✔️ Daily movement
✔️ Time outdoors
✔️ Strength + aerobic exercise
✔️ Supporting endothelial health

All help restore healthy nitric oxide production—from the inside out.

Sometimes the most powerful medicine is simple:
Move your body. Breathe deeply. Let nature do the rest. 🌲✨
So when my son asked if I wanted to go to the park for a “walk” today. I said, “YES.” Exercise +spending time with family= WIN WIN!

Did anyone else make it out for exercise today?

If your New Year’s resolution included eating more kale, here is a recipe for you and the reason why you should consider adding it to your regular vegetable intake.

Kale is a nutrient powerhouse—rich in vitamins A, C, and K, antioxidants, and fiber. It supports heart health, reduces inflammation, aids detoxification, and contains compounds like sulforaphane that help protect cells and support the body’s natural cancer-fighting defenses 🌿

What is your favorite way to eat kale ?

As I reflect on 2025, my heart is filled with gratitude.

I’m deeply thankful for good health—for a body that continues to heal, adapt, and carry me through meaningful work and everyday moments. Health is a sacred gift, one that becomes even more precious when we learn to listen to it closely.

The last two years, health challenges gave me something unexpected: permission to slow down.

They invited me to step outside more often—to take deep, intentional breaths of fresh air, feel the grounding of the earth beneath my feet, and let nature become part of my healing. I found joy in growing and cooking more of my own food, reconnecting with nourishment in its most natural and life-giving form.

I also discovered new ways to care for myself—ways that felt restorative rather than rushed. Music and mantra, infrared Hatha yoga, Ayurveda, Qi gong, hiking, and sound baths. These practices didn’t just support my body; they calmed my mind and created space for deeper connection with God.

Through it all, I was reminded that caring for our health is not about striving or perfection—it’s about presence and gratitude. Slowing down allowed me to listen more clearly, trust more deeply, and honor the body God entrusted to me.

As I move forward, I’m thankful—for healing, for gentler rhythms, and for the grace found in tending both body and spirit with intention.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10

There is a moment when you finally see it clearly. You walk into a grocery store, look around, and realize that most of what fills those shelves is ultra-processed food that works against your energy, your mood, and your long-term health.

This is why choosing real food matters.
Not perfectly.
Not obsessively.
Just with awareness.

Follow along for more practical, natural steps to slow biological aging and live a longer, fuller life.

Growing my own herbs this winter 🌱

As a functional medicine physician, I believe food is medicine—especially food grown locally, even at home. These little sprouts will soon become powerful tools for healing, flavor, and nourishment.

Even small steps make a big impact on health.

Winter herb garden officially underway 🌱✨

There’s something incredibly grounding about growing your own food—especially in the middle of winter. These tiny green sprouts are a reminder that nourishment, healing, and vitality can be cultivated year-round.

As a functional medicine physician, I truly believe food is medicine—and food grown locally (even right in your home) carries an extra layer of intention and healing. Fresh herbs aren’t just flavor; they’re packed with phytonutrients that support digestion, detoxification, inflammation balance, and overall health.

I’m so excited to watch these herbs grow and eventually make their way into meals that nourish my family from the inside out. Small steps, daily choices, big impact on health 🌿

I’m growing Basil and Parsley.
What herbs should I grow next?

A Season of Gratitude, Hope, and Renewal

This season, we pause with grateful hearts to reflect on the birth of Christ—a gift that brought light, hope, and renewal into the world. His birth reminds us that even in times of uncertainty, hope is always present and new beginnings are possible.

In medicine, and especially in the work we do to support health, vitality, and longevity, we are continually inspired by this message of renewal. Caring for the body and honoring life at every stage is a privilege we do not take lightly.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you place in us and for the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey toward healthier, fuller living. May this season bring you peace, restored hope, and joy that carries into the year ahead.

From our practice to you and your family—Merry Christmas and blessings of Healthspan and Longevity now and always. ✨
