Harbor House of Rochester, Inc. Welcome to Harbor House! Our goal is to create a comforting home away from home during challenging times.

As a not-for-profit hospitality house, we provide a warm, supportive, and affordable place to stay for those in need of temporary lodging. Just two short blocks from the University of Rochester Medical Center, Harbor House is an easy walk away from loved ones who are in the hospital with a serious medical condition. We give family members a chance to relax, rest and revive themselves after long days and nights in the hospital as they care for their loved one.

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month as well as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, with leukemia being the most common cancer in children and teens. Please join us for a journey through milestones and breakthroughs in life-saving treatments with noted URMC oncologist Dr. Carla Casulo, along with patients from the Wilmot Cancer Center, who will be sharing their stories of survival and resilience! Thanks to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (soon to become Blood Cancer United), St. John's Living and Hope Lodge of Rochester for partnering with us on this inspiring event. Note: the event is FREE but R.S.V.P is required for lunch!

Call for Collectibles for a Very Special Silent Auction! Do you have any “keepsakes” from yesteryear that you can part with, but believe are still a “must-have" for other vintage enthusiasts? Then, consider donating your keepsake treasure to ATBGO this year at ARTISANworks! Our 2025 Gala will feature a ‘This is Your Life’ themed program honoring the lives of two Harbor House founders who celebrate their 20th and 25th anniversaries, respectively of successful heart transplant surgeries this year. To that end, we are looking to collect auction items that trigger fond and fun memories of pop culture: fashion accessories (one-size-fits-all items only, please), non-perishable food, toys and games, playing cards, stamps, music (e.g. vinyl record covers), home decor, fads and anything else that will be attractive to bidders and contribute to the retro vibe of the event. Our ATBGO this year is Saturday September 27 so we’ll need your donations no later than Friday September 12! All Silent Auction donors will be prominently recognized in our ‘This is Your Life’ program and displayed in all print and digital marketing material, along with a heartfelt THANK YOU from Harbor House! Nestled in the Upper Mount Hope neighborhood, Harbor House is where families traveling to Rochester, NY come when loved ones are in the hospital with a serious medical condition. We give family members a chance to relax, rest and revive themselves after long days and nights in the hospital as they care for their loved one.
