🎨🌱 From garden to canvas 🥕🖌️
Our Food Explorers dug up fresh veggies and used salad dressings as colorful paint!
This month’s theme is Gardening. We explored where our vegetables come from and created vibrant, tasty salads!

Our campers spotted some sneaky bears walking around RCC! 🐻 After an adventurous walk and fun gross motor activities, they fueled up with tasty s’mores. We got creative with marshmallow fluff, graham crackers, and chocolate! Using our hands or utensils, we explored all the sticky, sweet fun together.

This summer, we started a Food Explorer Sensory Program!

Through playful, hands-on activities, kids are encouraged to engage with food using all five senses: sight, smell, taste, touch, and even sound! By making food exploration fun and pressure-free, we are helping the kids build confidence and curiosity around trying new foods. This week, the kids had the opportunity to build tacos!

You do not need to have a client enrolled in our program to attend but we do ask that you RSVP and register for childcare in advance. Please note that space in childcare is limited and based on staff availability (cost is $10/child + $5/each additional child). We also offer a sibling workshop that meets during the same time frame. The workshop is meant to help siblings gain a better understanding of the autism diagnosis, play games, have fun and get to know other children who have an autistic sibling.
