Sooo our new system decided to email everyone about our next couple of weeks availability without our knowledge. Our new system will not be ready for people to book until Thursday! My schedule just got flooded with bookings and some of these booking will have to be cancelled due to double booking. We are very sorry if you are one of them. I am now scrambling to make sure no double bookings happen. Wasn’t expecting this glitch/hiccup.

We will be changing our appointment books in the very near future. So if you get an email from Clinic Sense in the next few weeks please read it knowing its coming from us. There will be new medical paperwork sent. This system will be eliminating login names. From everything I have been told it will be off of your name and email. No more lost passwords. More to come. I was shooting for June 1st but it may be May 1st instead.

Trigger Points - Subscapularis Muscle 🏋️‍♂️

The Subscapularis muscle, integral to the rotator cuff, is crucial for shoulder rotation and stability. Trigger points within this muscle can cause shoulder pain and restrict mobility, often presenting symptoms similar to rotator cuff injuries and bursitis. This condition primarily affects those involved in repetitive overhead tasks or recovering from shoulder injuries.

Characteristics of Subscapularis Trigger Point Pain:

- Causes shoulder pain, restricts movement.
- Pain extends down arm to wrist.
- Impedes reaching behind or throwing.

Anatomy of the Subscapularis:

- Originates in subscapular fossa, inserts on lesser tubercle of humerus.
- Stabilizes glenohumeral joint, medially rotates humerus.
- Innervated by upper, lower subscapular nerves (C5, C6, C7).

Functionality:

- Prevents humerus displacement.
- Crucial for back pocket reach actions.

Common Indications:

- Rotator cuff tendinopathy, adhesive capsulitis.
- Back-of-shoulder pain, clicking/popping.
- Reduced external rotation, limited shoulder movement.

Causes:

- Sports like swimming, baseball; overhead lifting.
- Shoulder injuries, sudden loading, immobility.
- Post-fracture/dislocation, frozen shoulder syndrome.

Differential Diagnosis:

- Distinguishes from impingement, rotator cuff, thoracic outlet syndromes.
- Rules out cervical radiculopathy (C7), cardiopulmonary issues.

Advice for Patients:

- Apply self-massage in, around armpit for exposed muscle parts.
- Avoid activities worsening symptoms, stretch shoulders.
- Seek professional advice for specific therapies.

Trigger Point Therapy Techniques:

- Ischemic Compression
- Cross-Fiber Massage
- Laser Therapy
- Myofascial Release Techniques
- Ultrasound Therapy
- Targeted Stretching, Strengthening Exercises

Healing Massage Retreat is looking to add 2 more Licensed Massage Therapists to our clinic. We are turning away people for same day appointments everyday (2 or more on average). We have 9 years of being around and we get new clients on our schedules weekly. We have two rooms right now that are set up to walk into and start tomorrow.

If you are a LMT that wants to own their own business but needs the help and push to be successful HMR was designed for this specifically. I opened HMR at a time where there wasn’t a lot of places, if any, set up for an LMT to be independent but have the background help and advertising that allows for a successful business. LMTs are usually floating around by themselves or working for someone else for an hourly pay. The cost of pushing your business name out there to get clients is always a struggle for an independent new business. HMR has 9 years of advertisin, 9 years of clientele, And 40+ years of experience between the therapists. We have an online booking system for everyone to be apart of so clients can search for the first available appointment or for the therapist they want.
The rooms are fully stocked with laundry, a table, hot towel cabbie, hot stone cooker and stone set. The only thing you have to provide is your oil or lotion, self advertising, your hands and your dedication to succeed working for yourself.

Now with that being said both of these rooms can be used by any type of practitioner: Acupuncture, Esthetician, Counselor, Lash Tech, Nutrtionist, etc. The tables can be removed and can be set up for lots of stuff.

Number one rule is that you are licensed to do what you do and you work inside your scope of practice. If your liability insurance doesn’t cover you for injury that means you are working outside your scope.

We are on the hunt for 2 or 3 Cosmetologists who are hunting for a new home. This room is 20ft by 10 1/2”ft with a 5 foot sink/storage station. It is pretty close to a blank slate and can be completely personalized.

Today Healing Massage Retreat is celebrating being open for 9 years. It’s kind of crazy to say that. The first year was rough. First 3 years showed we could do it. Covid hit us hard in more ways than one. So to say we are still open at this point is an accomplishment in itself when many small businesses didn’t make it through that time frame. Our clients really helped us get through that time frame by messaging, buying giftcards and package deals to help us keep the lights on. So this year we are celebrating by rebuilding our team. I’ve held off for a bit but we have remodeled 3 rooms with more to come in the near future. We have a 9 1/2x10 1/2 foot room that would work great for a massage therapist, counselor, acupuncturist, and quite a few other professionals. We have a 12x11 room that has a sink. This room would be great for an esthetician, massage therapist, waxing, lashes, acupunture, etc. We also have a brand new dual hair suite. This room is 19’x11” feet and has two hair stations, cutting chairs, 1 shampoo station and a huge storage cabinet and sink combo for color mixing. All these rooms are ready to be personalized.

The clinic is a 3000 sq ft space with a huge reception wrap around desk, waiting room, laundry on site, there is a bathroom, storage room. Rent will be a little different for each type of practice, depending on what the clinic is providing or not providing for the practioner. As a massage therapist or esthetician we proved all the sheets, towels, hot towel cabbies, hot stone cookers, tables. We just don’t provide your products. So if you are needing our laundry rent will be a bit different. If you aren’t needing our help in advertising that will change your rent as well, but we do have an online booking system and a huge overflow of massage clients. We turn people away every single day.
