GiGi's Playhouse Rochester Our Down syndrome Achievement Centers provide programming and support to people with Down syndrome and their families.

GiGi's Playhouse of Rochester is one of the nationwide network of Down syndrome achievement centers; changing lives through free, results -driven programs for individuals of all ages, families and communities. Our mission is to change the way the world views Downs syndrome and to send a global message of acceptance to all.

We loved welcoming back the Mercy girls to the Playhouse to kick off the new year. This time with the 8th graders! 💙

Every visit is so special to us. Not only do these amazing students lend a helping hand around the Playhouse, but they also take the time to learn more about Down syndrome and our incredible community.

Our favorite part is always coming together at the end to ask what they learned. Their reflections are thoughtful, insightful, and filled with excitement, and it reminds us why awareness and education matter so much.

We are so grateful for opportunities like this to expand awareness in our community and hopefully inspire these girls to continue spreading acceptance and kindness wherever they go. 💫

As we welcome 2026, we’re filled with gratitude for our incredible community, our families, participants, volunteers, and supporters who make our Playhouse so special. Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to see all the joy, growth, friendships, and milestones the new year will bring.
