Where else can you get a massage and be greeted by a big Muscovy duck named "Naughty"? 😂

He has been visiting my office door a lot lately. I keep hearing light taps like he is knocking. 😂

Do any of you remember when I worked out of my North Branch house and my donkey Motor would Hee-Haw during massages? 😂

Or, about 6 years ago we had three pigs that would always get out and roam the yard and they would often end up at my office door. 😂

🎉 20 Years!! 🎉
This month I celebrate my 20th year of doing massage and running a small business.
It has been a pleasure and honor to work with so many amazing clients who have become like family. I thank each of you as you have entrusted me in your wellness journey.

My massage story:
In 1997 I was in a horrific car crash that left me severely injured and it took the life of my fiance. We were hit head on by a drunk driver. My body was a mess and had unbearable pain. My wonderful chiropractor suggested that I get massage to help release the muscle tension. Back then there was only one option in our rural area: Phyllis Swanson. She was a retired LPN and became a great therapist. Phyllis was a gift from God to me. She helped so much in my recovery physically and mentally. She was so nurturing on so many levels. I am eternally grateful for my time on her table.
I knew early on in our sessions that I would become a massage therapist to be able to help others and a few years later I went to school.

I attended an intensive program at the former, Centerpoint Massage and Shiatsu School where I learned both oriental bodywork and western massage. This too was a blessing as it opened my door to natural health and healing and I have been a lifetime learner since.

I have had the opportunity to work on so many amazing clients, learn so many modalities, travel, and meet so many wonderful people from around the United States.

I am grateful for each and every client and every experience.
I don't know how my next 20 years will look but I am far from done learning or helping others. 💝

Self care is so important and should be practiced daily.
Last week I went to The Stroppel Hotel in Midland, SD for a few days to soak in their mineral baths. It was a great, inexpensive getaway with good friendships and down time.
I recommend checking them out. I will warn you that this place is not fancy but it was clean, the beds were great, the water is AMAZING and they had great hospitality. If you are traveling I90, you could always pop in and take a plunge. They are 8 miles north of I90, east of Rapid City.
