MIndfulness Institute of NW Illinois

MIndfulness Institute of NW Illinois The Mindfulness Institute was incorporated in the state of Illinois in 2016. JeAnne Schneider-Vargas is the Founder and Director.

MIndfulness Institute and MINWIL pioneers educational programs for practicing Mindfulness in everyday living by teaching MBSR to build and fortify strengths, awakening individuals to a deeper connection and meaning in life, better health and well-being. In February 2017, the Mindfulness Institute of NW Illinois nfp, a 501(c)(3) educational organization was founded, dedicated to bring the practice of Mindfulness Meditation into the everyday life of children and adults living in NW Illinois (MINWIL) and the surrounding area. In March 2016 we founded the Mindfulness Meditation Community (Sangha) Sit Session, a weekly support group, for persons suffering from stress, anxiety, depression and chronic pain. JeAnne completed her training at the UMass College of Medicine Center for Mindfulness in Healthcare, Medicine, and Society, and is mentored by a designed mentor from the UC San Diego School of Medicine Mindfulness-Based Professional Training Institute. MINWIL provides training and resources on the practice and benefits of meditation, and meets the highest standards for mindfulness training.

Through our teaching and training, we are dedicated to bringing awareness to those in our community and beyond, providing training and resources on the practice and benefits of MIndfulness Meditation, while meeting the highest standards for MIndfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training. Our Mindfulness Meditation programs are focused on helping to foster better health, quality of life, and balance and well-being.
