Greetings from Ny’ah -

Hi! I'm Ny'ah, a current graduate student pursuing my Master's in Counseling and Development.

I'm compassionate, service-driven and excited to join the Elkins Counseling Services team. I'm committed to fostering a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for clients aged 14 and older.

During my internship, I will be assisting with a range of concerns, including (but not limited to) anxiety and depression. Using a client-focused and culturally inclusive approach, I aim to support individuals in developing greater self-awareness and self-acceptance.

I truly look forward to growing as a clinician, building therapeutic skills, and supporting clients on their journey to wellness.

Elkins Counseling Services is continuing to grow. We are so thankful and elated to have Mr. Logan Farrar, License Professional Counselor Associate, to join our team!

Mr. Farrar is currently accepting clients and will begin seeing clients August 19th. He accepts SC Medicaid and private pay clients.

Mr. Farrar has extensive experience working with adolescents and men and fathers—navigate the unique challenges of life transitions, stress, anger, identity issues and generational trauma. With a strong focus on mental wellness, emotional regulation, and lifestyle progression, Mr. Farrar provide a safe, culturally affirming space for clients to grow, heal, and thrive.

Today in our Cope and Create therapy group, we created sand art. Each kiddo picked an animal to represent them. The monkey was chosen because he’s strong, the giraffe is brave, and the elephant is kind (all from the kiddos). Each color represents a characteristic: light blue-friendly, orange-respectful, yellow-happiness, dark blue- great imagination, red-love, and green-kindness. A gentle reminder that when days are tough or times are scary, you have everything you need to overcome the obstacle.

Hi there! Elkins Counseling Services is excited to welcome Jailah Layton, Counseling Intern, to our team. Jailah is a graduate student at Winthrop University. She is very skilled in various treatment modalities and passionate about mental wellness. Jailah is offering no-cost sessions to kids ages 8-18 this summer.
