Happy August!!!

Elkins Counseling Services is continuing to grow. We are so thankful and elated to have Mr. Logan Farrar, License Professional Counselor Associate, to join our team!

Mr. Farrar is currently accepting clients and will begin seeing clients August 19th. He accepts SC Medicaid and private pay clients.

Mr. Farrar has extensive experience working with adolescents and men and fathers—navigate the unique challenges of life transitions, stress, anger, identity issues and generational trauma. With a strong focus on mental wellness, emotional regulation, and lifestyle progression, Mr. Farrar provide a safe, culturally affirming space for clients to grow, heal, and thrive.

Elkins Counseling Services is continuing to grow. We are so thankful and elated to have Mr. Logan Farrar, License Professional Counselor Associate, to join our team!

Today in our Cope and Create therapy group, we created sand art. Each kiddo picked an animal to represent them. The monkey was chosen because he’s strong, the giraffe is brave, and the elephant is kind (all from the kiddos). Each color represents a characteristic: light blue-friendly, orange-respectful, yellow-happiness, dark blue- great imagination, red-love, and green-kindness. A gentle reminder that when days are tough or times are scary, you have everything you need to overcome the obstacle.

More groups will be added in August.

Hi there! Elkins Counseling Services is excited to welcome Jailah Layton, Counseling Intern, to our team. Jailah is a graduate student at Winthrop University. She is very skilled in various treatment modalities and passionate about mental wellness. Jailah is offering no-cost sessions to kids ages 8-18 this summer. 1. We moved 😄 As of January 1st, is now located at 926 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill SC. Come join us for our “Grand Opening/ Open House” on May 31st.
2. Our FREE therapeutic group for girls entering high school begins soon. There are only two more spots available.
3. Our Cope and Create therapeutic group begins soon, as well. This group also has two more spots available.

Hey there! Elkins Counseling Services will offer two therapeutic groups for the youth during the summer months.
"Cope and Create" is for kiddos ages 7-9. Kiddos will naviagate and learn how to manage big emotions through creativity and crafts.

"Can We Be Friends?" is for girls entering high school next school year. Girls will prepare to navigate the transition of attending a new school and expanding support systems and social groups. There is no cost to attend this group.
