🍎☀️ Fall adventures are the best adventures! Residents from AL and The Cove enjoyed a beautiful day at Windy Hill with a picnic, fresh apple cider, and warm apple cider donuts. The scenic drive through York and the sight of apples hanging on the trees made the day even sweeter. What a perfect way to welcome autumn! 🍂🍏

🦈 Shark Week fun at Kempton of Rock Hill! Our special visitor, Bruce the Shark, made a splash without chomping anyone—he even promised to behave! Everyone loved him, and we even brought him to visit a resident in rehab so she didn’t miss out. A few tense moments when his tail got stepped on… but luckily, sharks aren’t so quick on land! 😄 Bruce will be back next year!

🍕✨ Culinary Creations at Kempton of Rock Hill! Today, our residents made bagel pizzas loaded with mushrooms, black olives, pepperoni, and of course… LOTS of cheese! 🧀 Shredded, baked in our bistro pizza oven, and absolutely irresistible!

When our Activity Director’s grandson Mason came to visit, he brought more than just smiles—he brought SLIME! 🧪💚

At first, residents weren’t sure what to expect, but once they got their hands in the mix, they couldn’t stop laughing and playing. They described it as sticky, cold, clammy, wet... and FUN!

Mason was a huge hit, and the big question now is: “When are we making slime again?!”

There’s nothing like a picnic in the park! 🧺🌳

Residents from Kempton of Rock Hill enjoyed a beautiful day at one of our favorite spots—Glencairn Garden. We found the perfect shady spot, relaxed on swings and benches, and shared lunch surrounded by nature.

It was a peaceful and joyful afternoon—already looking forward to our next picnic adventure!

💜 What an incredible two days at Kempton of Rock Hill! Our CDP Training & Dementia Live® Experience was nothing short of transformative. Huge thanks to Senior Consulting Advisors - Upstate South Carolina—especially Scott Miller, Jessica & Steve Wylie—for sponsoring and supporting this $8,000+ initiative that brought powerful education and empathy-driven experiences to our community.

Special appreciation to Cat from Tranquil Transitions and Marcy from Still Alive Inside for leading the most impactful CDP training we’ve ever attended! Their passion and synergy were inspiring, and we’re grateful to now be part of their mission.

We are also thrilled to have already welcomed a new resident thanks to our partnership with Senior Consulting Advisors—their first placement with us! 🎉

We brought the taste of the fair right to our community with homemade Lemon Shake Ups! 🍋🎡 After rolling, slicing, adding sugar, ice, and a splash of water—we shook them like crazy and had a blast doing it! So refreshing and so much fun. We’re already planning how we’ll “shake” things up with a new recipe next time!
