Recently I had the chance to meet with my friend and fellow business owner/operator, Misti James. Normally we’re all together with our husbands, so it was really special to have time just the two of us.

We talked about all the things, business, family, our faith, and more. It was so encouraging and truly a blessing to my soul to sit and talk with someone much wiser than me. 💪

It reminded me how important it is to build relationships with others who are striving for the same things in life, people who encourage you, challenge you, and walk alongside you.

Family Friday 💜

Hello to all you beautiful people out there! We’ve had a lot of new faces join us lately, so we wanted to reintroduce ourselves.

We’re the Lowerys—the family and heart behind Honest Elderberry Co.

This sweet business started 7 years ago, organically, from a deep love for herbal nutrition and a desire to truly serve people well—to create something that adds real value to your everyday life.

What began in our kitchen has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined… but it’s still rooted in the same intention: high-quality, organic, thoughtfully crafted herbal products that go beyond the basics.

Our family has been all in. Ishmael and I have been working side by side since 2020, and our passion to serve our community has only grown.

Ishmael is up most mornings around 4am doing a lot of the heavy lifting—prepping inventory, supporting production, managing our team, and serving our retailers. The words here make it seem like light work, but this man works so hard, and I’m so grateful for him.

And behind the scenes, we’re also raising our family, building this dream together one day at a time. It’s not always easy but it’s always worth it.

We believe herbal products can be both powerful and elevated. That quality matters. That what you put in your body matters. And that small businesses can make a big impact.

We just got back from Summerville late last night after working there the last three days. What a treat is has been for us the last three years to do this. We worked extra hard this weekend to serve the people the best way we could.

We had many returning customers who said “I came here just for your products” or “I just love your business. Keep doing what you’re doing” or “We had to stop by here and stock up” or one that really stick out to me was two ladies who say they order online as they’ve gone other places and tried other elderberry syrups and always read the ingredients and compare them to ours but ours still reigns the best. I mean, what an honor. We were so encouraged.

Thank you to the people of Summerville for your support. We are so grateful. ❤️
