Holiday Window Painting Continued...
LOCATION # 3 DISTRICT DRUGS, Rock Island....just around the corner from Circa 21.

This window is the biggest one I have done, at around 7 feet tall (just the window).

The store owner wanted a Nativity Scene,
and after doing a lot of research,
I decided I really wanted to push myself
by creating a faux stained glass window!

It took me about 10 hours of actual work on site. It was tedious, but I just really wanted to see if I could do it!

These pictures are not the best, as I hasn't completely cured, but I will post more in a few days.

The process of creating this look involved blending fluid acrylics with glossy Mod Podge. The window is under an overhang, with an awning over that, so it is very protected from the elements!

I am really pleased that something I took a chance on turned out so well! The purple still looks opaque in the picture, because the mod podge hadn't fully dried yet....the crazy rains today sure didn't help with it drying!

Luckily, I got it all done on Saturday before all the rains settled in.

I have so much video footage to process and edit from each location! I will try to crank out some reels to show the process when I get time:)

Dr. Luley, a Davenport, Iowa native, lived in Colorado for 26 years prior to moving back to the Quad Cities one year ago. She says she is eager to expand her knowledge of compounding pharmacy and looks forward to meeting new people and becoming an active member of our community. We're thrilled to have Dr. Luley on board and can't wait to see what the future holds!
