First, Train in the Preliminaries
Our lives are short and we only have limited time to bring about any real and lasting change. If we fail to separate the essential from the nonessential, we will lose ourselves in everyday preoccupations and petty pursuits, and when the time comes to die, it will be too late to change. While we have time, instead of harping on our dissatisfactions, we should reflect on the favorable conditions for practice and resolve to make the most of our opportunities by inscribing the following thought permanently in our minds:
“I have wasted enough time. Why waste any more? From now on, I’ll do something constructive and beneficial with my life, instead of squandering it in meaningless activities.”

Gather with us this month! These have become community events that I truly cherish and look forward to every time we have the chance to be together.
Our next Self-Compassion Gathering will be held Saturday, April 8th, from 11 AM - 12:15 PM CT. In these special monthly events, I will begin with sharing a self-compassion meditation and then take questions from those in the audience.
Questions will be accepted on any topic: self-compassion practice, research, and integration into daily life. Space is limited, so reserve your space now by clicking the link below [or the link in bio]. I look forward to sharing with you all!

The Boundless Compassion Program was created by Joyce Rupp, along with her Servite Sisters Margaret Stratman and Val Lewandowski. During Boundless Compassion conferences and retreats, participants reflect on the depths and layers of compassion as presented in Joyce Rupp’s award-winning book ‘Boundless Compassion’. Topics include compassion as a way of life; self-compassion; and compassion related to suffering, marginalization and creation.
The program presents insights from spirituality, science, theology, psychology and sociology. Presentations, guided group prayer, video presentations, small group sharing, and quiet times for reflection are often elements of the programs. While rooted in the life and ministry of Jesus, Boundless Compassion programs are open to anyone who wants to connect with the love, awareness, light and warmth in one’s self and others.
The Boundless Compassion Program seeks to inspire and encourage compassionate living in both one’s personal and professional life.
