What Is HPV and Why Should You Care?
🦠 Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection. In fact, about 8 in 10 people will get HPV at some point in their lives.
Most cases clear up on their own, but some strains can lead to cervical cancer if left untreated. That’s why regular screenings and the HPV vaccine are key tools in protecting your health. 💙

If you've never had one before, a Pap smear might sound a little intimidating, but it’s actually a quick and simple part of routine care.
Here’s what to expect:
🔹 You'll lie back comfortably on an exam table.
🔹 A provider gently collects a small sample of cells from your cervix.
🔹 The whole process takes just a few minutes.
This test helps detect any early changes in cervical cells, so you can stay on top of your health.
Have questions or need to schedule your next screening? We’re here to help - judgment-free and supportive. 💙

⏰ Pill Reminder Tip!
Taking your birth control pill at the same time every day helps it work more effectively—especially if you're on the progestin-only pill. Missing a dose or taking it late can increase the risk of pregnancy.
A simple fix? Set a daily alarm or reminder on your phone! It only takes a second, but it can make a big difference in keeping you protected and on track.
Consistency is key when it comes to birth control—your future self will thank you!

STIs are more common than you think—and they’re treatable.
Getting tested regularly is an important part of self-care and protecting your health.

CDC guidelines recommend:
✔️ Routine HIV screening for everyone ages 13–64
✔️ Chlamydia & Gonorrhea testing for sexually active women age 25 and under
✔️ Ongoing testing for women (of any age) with risk factors like new or multiple partners, past STIs, or partners with multiple partners
Don’t wait for symptoms—many STIs have none at all. Stay informed, stay protected.
