We are proud to introduce a brand-new monthly recognition program: the Golden Broom Award — a traveling award honoring Downtown Rock Springs businesses that go above and beyond to maintain clean, attractive storefronts.

From sparkling windows to swept sidewalks, the Golden Broom Award shines a spotlight on those merchants who take pride in their appearance and help keep Downtown looking its best. Each month, one outstanding business will be selected to receive the traveling Golden Broom Award, along with a static cling decal to proudly display in their window.

“Downtown is the heart of our community, and we want to recognize those businesses that help it shine,” said Maria Mortensen, chairwoman of the Rock Springs Main Street/URA. “A clean, well-kept storefront not only enhances the beauty of Downtown, but it also creates a more welcoming environment for shoppers, diners, and visitors.”

The community is encouraged to get involved by nominating deserving Downtown businesses. Nominations can be made by calling the URA office at 307-352-1434.
The first Golden Broom Award recipient will be announced soon — stay tuned as we celebrate the businesses that help make Downtown Rock Springs a place we can all be proud of.

Daisy is still missing! She belongs to a family that is here with the National High School Rodeo Finals (NHSRF). Please report any sightings, she is very shy and most likely won’t come to you. 🩷

She has been FOUND and reunited!

This baby is still missing from the Sweetwater Events Complex. She belongs to a NHSFR rodeo family and they would love to get her back. Please help us keep your eyes open. She certainly could be outside of the events complex property.
