For some, non-stimulant options like guanfacine or atomoxetine may be a better fit—especially for those with sleep issues, tics, or other sensitivities.

ADHD can show up differently depending on your age—and it's not always what people expect.

đź§’ In Kids, ADHD Might Look Like:
-Being constantly distracted
-Forgetting to turn in homework
-Trouble following directions
-Getting up or fidgeting often
-Talking out of turn or interrupting
-Getting in trouble at school

👩‍💼 In Adults, ADHD Might Look Like:
Getting sidetracked during tasks
-A “quick break” that turns into an hour
-Forgetting appointments, bills, or deadlines
-Struggling to stick to routines or finish projects
-Being called lazy, messy, or irresponsible
-Feeling overwhelmed by simple tasks
-Racing thoughts, or feelings of anxiety

👉 ADHD often begins in childhood—and for many, it continues into adulthood. A lot of people go undiagnosed as kids and aren’t officially diagnosed until adulthood.

Anxiety isn’t just "worrying too much"—it’s your brain’s alarm system stuck on overdrive. While anxiety is a normal response to stress, it becomes a problem when it’s constant, overwhelming, and interfering with daily life.

What’s Happening in the Brain?
Your body’s fight-or-flight system is designed to keep you safe. When your brain senses danger (even if there’s no real threat), it triggers a surge of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline—leading to:
