Recovering Stronger with Blood Flow Restriction!
Megan Driesen, DPT, was recently featured in a case study for her innovative use of LiveBand® BFR therapy to support a patient recovering from meniscus repair surgery. By incorporating blood flow restriction into early rehabilitation, Megan helped the patient safely and efficiently rebuild strength.
We are proud to have leaders like Megan on our team, providing outstanding care to our community.

In 1967, Hegg Health Center opened its doors and began providing exceptional patient care to the Rock Valley and surrounding communities. Hegg Health Center receives its name in honor of Dr. Lester R. Hegg, who began his career treating patients among Indian reservations in South Dakota. Dr. Hegg practiced in Rock Valley from the time of the Great Depression until his passing in May 1967.
During his time in Rock Valley, Dr. Hegg delivered over 3,000 babies - including 22 sets of twins and one set of triplets. Dr. Hegg not only serviced local Rock Valley residents, but also traveled to Canton, Le Mars, and Sioux Center to visit patients there. It was the passion and commitment of Dr. Hegg that led the Betterment Council to plan and begin building a hospital bearing his name in 1963 to honor his 35 years of service to the community.
It is amazing to look back on our astounding history that has had a profound impact on health care, not only in Rock Valley, but throughout our communities as well. What was once a stand-alone hospital that resided in a large home on 14th Avenue is now an integrated health center with many amazing providers, staff, and services.
Take a look at the last 50 years of Hegg Health Center.
On January 22, 2018, the new state-of-the-art, Hegg Health Center facility addition opened to the public.
