These educational displays highlight:

• Diseases they can carry

• Tips to reduce tick and mosquito habitats around your home

Rockaway Township welcomes the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)! 🩺📊

The Morris County region is one of just 20 areas selected nationwide to be part of ; a major program that collects important data on the health and nutrition of people living in the United States. This survey addresses everything from environmental exposures to the use of low-fat food labels in grocery stores, and has helped drive major public health improvements such as eliminating lead from gasoline and soft drink cans, as well as establishing baseline information like average blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

📬 Selected households in Rockaway Township will be receiving official mailers inviting them to participate. These letters are legitimate and not junk mail. Only a small number of households are randomly chosen, and participation is extremely valuable in helping ensure our community is accurately represented.

We strongly encourage all selected households to participate. Your involvement helps inform national health decisions, improve programs, and contribute to healthier communities across the country. 🌟
