Know what you’re buying. This picture has store beef(right), and farm beef(left). There is an obvious visible difference between the two but the differences don’t stop there!

1. You may notice the color difference in the picture. The store bought is pumped full of additives and preservatives, including propyl gallate, to protect against spoilage due to long term air exposure.

2. There isn’t a guarantee of where that beef came from, OR how many cows are in it.

Yes, it may have the USDA label on it but as long as that animal was packaged in the US, it can be called a Product of the USA.

And yes, the meat in the right package is not from one single cow, rather scraps from multiple cows. It may have come from Argentina, Canada, or Brazil.

3. The beef on the left is fresher, darker and is farm raised beef. It is filled with more nutrients & flavor. The ground is also from one cow and not just low quality scraps from multiple cows.

Happy Sunday all! For those of you on this page, that don’t realize it, we have a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Program. We’ve been farming for most of our lives, and our members in our 27 locations have been ordering in our online store now for up to 10 years!

We have more than 250 items in our store that I update each week. Anything from our non-gmo, organically grown veggies to all kinds of meat, including our pork, lamb, turkey, chickens, as well as beef and bison! We also have our eggs, German baked goods (ancient grains), honey, herbs, dehydrated fruits and veggies, and more!

Not familiar with a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) Program? You have the opportunity to sign up with us, so you can shop all our produce as well as the rest of our 250+ items! Simply sign up, shop the Online Store, and then come on Sunday to pick up your basket! It’s as simple as that!

We’ll be at the Lampasas’s Farmers Market this Saturday from 9-1 pm with lots of produce, dehydrated goods, canned goods and more! Look for us in the front, diagonal to Eve’s.

Every 2nd Sunday of the month, we're at the Santa Rita Ranch Market from 9 am - 1 pm.

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, we're at the Sunshine Markets, Wolf Ranch in Georgetown from 10 am - 3 pm (for the Summer, then hours revert back to normal in the Fall).

This weekend we’ll have a full plate! We’re excited to be at our weekly Saturday Farmers Market - Lampasas County Farmer's Market & Crafts on the courthouse square.
Then Sunday will be an Eclipse Event on Sulphur Creek The Wild Bunch Homestead Mercantile!
Many thousands of people will be in Lampasas this weekend for the Eclipse Events! We look forward to seeing everyone!
