Our residents had the opportunity to participate in the Hollydays parade in Rockford on Sunday. Smiles all around as they saw the gorgeous park lights and all the people outside waving to them.

Since Santa’s on the first of his rounds for the season, he is getting to Rockford when there isn’t any snow on the ground. In lieu of his reindeer and sleigh he is riding in this style, and driven by Town & Country Carriage Service LLC. The parade begins at 5:30 on Franklin Street. It will proceed to Front Street and then Holly Street to enter the community building parking lot . Help us usher in the season and Santa!

Mayor Ron Searight is ready to light it up this holiday season! Shanes Park is being decorated for Rockford's Hollyday to be held this Sunday, and will continue to glow through the end of the year. Join us for the holiday bazaar, parade, horse drawn rides, Santa’s visit and kids activities Nov 23, noon- 7:30 pm.
