It’s National Dog Day! Give your dog an extra ear scratch and nose boop on this special day!

Dogs can contribute to your health and happiness. Studies show that dogs can reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, encourage exercise and can improve all-around health. Just playing with dogs has been shown to elevate oxytocin and dopamine, creating positive feelings and bonding for both the person and their pet.

Crusader receives funding from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board and voter-approved half-cent sales tax to expand and support Behavioral Health services.

Behavioral health services are available for child, adolescent and adult patients at Crusader Community Health.

Integrated behavioral health services allow patients to access care at the location that works best for them. Behavioral health staff and primary care providers work together to offer collaborative, coordinated behavioral health and medical care. Crusader uses an integrated model of treatment in which mental health and substance use treatment services are provided in a primary care setting for child, adolescent, and adult patients.

Crusader’s Behavioral Health programming is funded, in part, by the voter approved half-cent tax for mental health services from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board.

CONGRATS! Diane Zanocco, a Population Health representative at Crusader, was named the 2025 Immunization Champion Award winner for the state of Illinois!
