CONGRATULATIONS! Rock Valley College Phi Theta Kappa was recognized Tuesday with the Future Philanthropist Award at the annual National Philanthropy Day event with AFP Rockford Area Chapter!

The Crusader Community Health Foundation sponsored the Future Philanthropist Award, which honors an individual or group of young people, up to 24 years of age, for extraordinary volunteer fundraising efforts on behalf of philanthropic causes.

Congratulations, and thank you to all these wonderful people and organizations for supporting and improving our community with their philanthropy! Cheers to 40 years of National Philanthropy Day!

EXPLORING MEDICAL CAREERS: Crusader welcomed students from the RPS 205 Newcomer Program at East High School today to learn more about Crusader Community Health, careers in health care, and what to expect when visiting a medical clinic. They had a close look at some common medical equipment and tools – a stethoscope, otoscope and blood pressure cuff – and learned about vaccine injections, medication and nutrition.
