At Rockford Urological Associates, we love any excuse to celebrate our team. Yesterday, we geared up for the big Bears vs. Packers playoff game today with plenty of pizza and our favorite team jerseys.

We might be split on which team to cheer for tonight, but we’re always on the same team when it comes to caring for our patients.

The votes are officially in, the glitter has finally settled, and our 2025 Ugly Christmas Sweater champions have been crowned! 🎄🧶

Please join us in congratulating this year’s top three "masterpieces":

🥇 FIRST PLACE: Nichole - The undisputed champion of the "Most Horrendous" category! Nichole, your sweater was truly a masterpiece of holiday cheer. We aren't sure whether to applaud or double-check our documentation, which is exactly why you took home the gold! 🏆

🥈 SECOND PLACE: Jill - It was an incredibly close race! Jill came in a very narrow second with a Holiday overalls look that was equal parts festive and frightening. A fantastic effort! 🎅✨

🥉 THIRD PLACE: Mel - Rounding out our top three is our very own Mel! She proved that you can never have too much (or too little) holiday "spirit" when it comes to carefully placed accessories. 😂👏

🌮 A huge thank you to Taqueria La Katrina for catering an incredible lunch for our entire office today!

At RUA, we love supporting local businesses right here in Rockford, and the food today was absolutely amazing. There’s nothing like a delicious team meal to keep us fueled and ready to provide the best care for our patients! 🥑✨

🎄✨ They say "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear," but here at RUA, we prefer wearing it on our heads! 🦌🎀

Today was Holiday Head Gear Day and the energy in the clinic was absolutely electric! From reindeer antlers and giant sparkly bows to Santa hats and creative headbands, our team really outdid themselves. 👒✨

This festive spirit reminds Mel, our Executive Human Resource and Administrative Assistant, exactly why she loves her job—seeing these smiles makes every day brighter! 🤳❤️

🎉 HAPPY FRIDAY & NP WEEK FINALE! Meet Jennifer Gonzalez, DNP, CNS! 🎉

Today, we wrap up Nurse Practitioner Week by celebrating Jennifer Gonzalez! Jennifer is one of the newest faces at RUA, but is certainly not new to urology—she brings years of deep experience! Jennifer is a Board-Certified Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) who focuses on delivering specialized, evidence-based care.

🔬 Specialized Focus: Jennifer helps our adult patients with complex needs, focusing on women's health issues, including female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and recurrent UTIs.

📍 Serving You: She is dedicated to serving our community in both Rockford and Dixon.

🎓 Educational Leader: Jennifer is highly credentialed, completing her DNP (Doctorate in Nursing Practice) in 2025 and holding multiple degrees, starting with her Nursing Diploma in 1998!

🏡 Personal Life: Originally from Morton, Illinois, Jennifer and her husband have raised five children and love spending their free time hiking with their dogs! 🐕

We are excited to shine a spotlight on a newer face you may have already met in the clinic: Courtney Eckhoff, Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner!
Courtney officially joined our team this past June and is currently accepting new patients. Courtney is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care for our community!

Here are a few things to know about Courtney:

👩‍⚕️ Comprehensive Care: She provides expert general urological care to both our adult and pediatric populations.

🎓 Local Education: Courtney received her BSN degree from Saint Anthony College of Nursing (2017) and earned her Master of Science degree from Chamberlain University (2024).

📍 Local Connection: She resides right here in Rockford with her husband and three children.

🌲 Off-Duty Fun: When Courtney isn't helping patients, she loves spending time with her family and being outdoors.
