I am excited to announce Dr. Kai Codner as the
newest associate at the Oral and Facial Surgery
Center LTD. We look forward to her becoming
an integral part of the community we serve.

A little about Dr. Codner:

She was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She received her BS in Biomedical Engineering from University of Southern California and then moved back to Texas to earn her DDS from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. She went on to the University of Illinois Chicago to complete her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Kai enjoys spending her free time painting, traveling, doing anything outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Our team is eager to build strong, collaborative relationships within our professional community. As always, we are committed to providing compassionate, patient centered care.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if we can assist in any way or if you would like to meet personally with Dr. Codner or myself. Thank you for welcoming Dr. Codner to the Rockford area. We are truly excited for her to be here.

Dear Doctors, Friends and Colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from the Oral and Facial Surgery Center, LTD effective June 24, 2025. After forty years of serving the Rockford area community, I have decided to transition into a new chapter in my life.
I have deeply valued the relationships I have built with you and the trust you have placed in me. Since I established my practice in Rockford in 1985, it has been a privilege to serve as your oral surgeon and I am sincerely grateful for your loyalty and support throughout the years.
Many of you already work with my associate, Dr. Alex Hawkins, who will continue to be a driving force in our office to keep advancing our technologies and the level of service which we provide to you, and your patients. Dr. Hawkins will continue our tradition of excellence in dentistry and personalized care.
Dr. Hawkins and our outstanding team will continue to serve your needs, so you will still see the same familiar faces in our office.
Thank you again for the support, trust and friendships that have enriched my professional journey. I leave with a full heart and immense appreciation. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our office.
