We recently had the opportunity to explore the incredible history on display at Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum in downtown Rockford. The historical building stands as a testament to the remembrance of our city's many veterans.

We're grateful for the remarkable ways so many brave men and women have served and continue to serve our country. It's a great privilege to honor them, especially the many veterans in our community at Peterson Meadows. Thank you for your service!

The Red Hat Ladies of Peterson Meadows took their dazzling red hats on the road for a lunch trip to the Machine Shed Restaurant in Rockford.

The trip was a fitting tribute to the founder of the Red Hat Ladies, Alice Alfredson, who recently passed away. Alice described the Red Hat meetings as a time for ladies to gather and celebrate life through singing, games, delicious food, and plenty of laughter.

The Red Hat Ladies are proud to carry on Alice's vision by continuing to gather to celebrate life every month.

Our Chaplain Ministry invites all residents and staff to join them in markting the beginning of Lent with an Ash Wednesday Chapel Service.

The service will include a time of prayer and the imposition of ashes signifying repentance, forgiveness, and a renewed relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our February Teaching Kitchen featured a Valentine's Day favorite: chocolate covered strawberries! 🍫🍓

Thank you to Executive Chef Michael Rehfeldt and Nutrition and Wellness Expert Erin McAllister, RD, for entertaining residents with this educational and delicious presentation!

Erin shared interesting nutritional information about strawberries, including the fact that the leaves on top are the most nutirious part. And Chef Michael demonstrated how to make "tuxedo style" chocolate covered strawberries. All attendees got to sample the sweets afterward.
