Proverbs 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love. 6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

A true friend will correct us if we are heading down the wrong path or even the right path too fast. It is a friend who flatters that we need to be warned against. Flattery comes from resentment or envy.

Join us tonight as we completely unpack this verse and help each one of us to seek to overcome struggles and strongholds in 2021 through Him that loved us and not self effort or fleshly appetite. John was reflecting on this day when he started the gospel of John. I love the concluding thought that he had summarized into one word - GLORY!
