In this edition of Mission Partner Monday, we showcase Katherine C., RN in the wound center.

Katherine has been with OSF for more than 12 years and enjoys working with her fellow Mission Partners. She also enjoys living out our Mission to serve with the greatest care and love.

“Seeing each person as a child of God and thereby deserving of kindness, compassion and your time is how I see our Mission,” Katherine said. “Each day, every patient interaction is a chance to impact someone’s life for the better. It is an opportunity given to each of us individually and collectively as an organization.

🫀The Heartbeat: Education, Prevention and Care🫀

In honor of Heart Month, join us on February 28, from 9 a.m. – Noon, at the OSF Saint Anthony College of Nursing Auditorium, 698 Featherstone Rd., Rockford, for this free educational event where our expert team of cardiologists will speak on the topics of aortic stenosis, heart failure and heart health.

Light refreshments will be provided, and CME’s will be available for medical professionals in attendance.

We are so proud of our OSF Burn Center team for raising more than $14,000 during National Burn Awareness Week for Camp I Am Me by Illinois Fire Safety Alliance!

The OSF Burn Center is one of only five in the state of Illinois and the only one in Northern Illinois outside of Chicago.

In this edition of Mission Partner Monday, we spotlight Meagan F., sterile processing tech.

Meagan has been with OSF for 10 years. She started working in the dietary department but now works with sterile processing.

“In the sterile processing department we clean, sterilize and pack surgical tools as well as put together carts of instruments and soft goods for procedures,” Meagan said. “My favorite part of my job is knowing my position does make a huge impact in helping patients get what they need done surgically.”

1. “My favorite place to travel to is Florida. The beach is my happy place!”
2. “I love pasta and pizza.”
3. “I enjoy photography and crafting as hobbies.”
