🎉 OSF Sleep in Rockford is celebrating a big milestone! 🎉

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accredited OSF Sleep 25 years in a row, making us one of only 25 programs in the nation to achieve the 25-year accreditation milestone!

“The American Academy of Sleep Medicine congratulates OSF Sleep on continuing to meet the rigorous standards necessary to maintain accreditation for sleep services,” said AASM President Anita V. Shelgikar, MD. “AASM accreditation is the gold standard in sleep care, reflecting a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered services that help people sleep better and live healthier lives.”

AASM-accredited sleep centers provide diagnostic and therapeutic care for people who have problems related to sleep and alertness, including obstructive sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, restless legs syndrome and narcolepsy.

At OSF, there's Only One Amanda!

Scalp cooling is a technology offered at OSF HealthCare that can prevent hair loss in chemotherapy patients.

Amanda is currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer and is using scalp cooling during her treatments.

"(Your hair is) your identity. It's how you approach people and feel confident,” Amanda said. “The cooling cap can give you your confidence back.”

Amanda says she is so grateful for choosing OSF and for the exceptional cancer care she is receiving.

“The care team has been amazing,” she said. “I feel very confident that they know what they're doing, and they have chosen the right treatment plan for me.”
