Pederson Funeral Home

Pederson Funeral Home We are a privately owned and operated funeral home in the Grand Rapids suburb community of Rockford. Or call (616) 866-1515 to set up your initial appointment.

Pederson Funeral Home is a funeral home that you can trust to help celebrate the life of your loved one. When someone passes away, it can be harrowing for the family. Let the funeral planning team take care of the details while you can focus on what matters the most to you during this sensitive time. The funeral directors are experienced in serving families of all faiths, backgrounds, cultures, and budgets. So do not hesitate to talk about budget-friendly options for end-of-life services. The high-quality services are offered to all with dignity, compassion, and respect. The funeral home is filled with all comforts to welcome everyone in and make it feel like a second home as you gather and connect with family near and far. Pederson Funeral Home offers everything from full-service funerals to immediate burials. The full-service package includes visitations, funerals, and graveside ceremonies at the burials. The family can opt to skip straight to direct burial for an affordable option. Similarly, cremation with a memorial ceremony is the more extensive cremation plan, with a formal gathering service for friends and family to find closure. Direct cremation is without a service and is a low-cost cremation. Life celebrations can be implemented into whichever service you choose, with music, dancing, and a more lighthearted tone. As you look into pre-planning services, know that planning years ahead for an end-of-life service is just as important as drawing up a will or buying life insurance. Your family can be notified of your preferences for burial or cremation, urns, caskets, vaults, memorials, military honors, veteran services, etc. When you take the time to make these plans in advance, your family will be relieved from loads of stress after you pass away. Pederson Funeral Home takes pride in serving Moorland, Bridgeton, Sheridan Charter Township, Croton, Ashland, Bailey, Pierson, Sand Lake, Trufant, Cedar Springs, Kent City, Conklin, and Ravenna. They offer green burial options to reduce your carbon footprint during this time. If you are ready to start pre-planning or have just learned about a death in the family, Pederson Funeral Home is at your service. You can take a tour of the home at 127 N Monroe St Rockford, MI 49341.

November is a month dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary strength, sacrifice, and resilience of our nation’s service members — and the families who stand beside them.

Behind every veteran is a family whose love, support, and courage make their service possible. Military families endure long separations, constant change, and the weight of uncertainty, all with remarkable grace.

To all veterans and the families who support them:
Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering dedication. ❤️🤍💙

A simple act of kindness can change someone’s entire day — or even their life.

Today, we celebrate the small moments of compassion that connect us all: a smile, a helping hand, a thoughtful word. In times of loss or healing, kindness reminds us that we’re never truly alone.

Let’s take a moment to reach out, lift someone up, and spread a little more love in our community today — and every day. 🌼

After years of wondering, one woman’s determination — and a simple newspaper ad — led her to the family she never knew she had. Her search for her long-lost father uncovered not just one connection, but eleven new siblings and a story filled with hope, love, and reunion.

Stories like this remind us that it’s never too late to find the people and moments that bring our hearts home. 💫

“You’re so strong.”
That phrase is often said with kindness — yet for many grieving, it carries weight, expectation, and a misunderstanding of what loss truly looks like.

Grief doesn’t always look like courage on parade.
It can look like tears streaming, numbed days, the struggle just to get out of bed. It can look messy. And that’s okay.

If you’re in the midst of loss — or supporting someone who is — remember this: you don’t have to be labeled “strong” or “fine.” Showing up, feeling what you feel, moving forward in your own time — that is strength.

In this touching story from the Forced Joy Project, Raleigh Eckert shares how she’s learning to embrace both sorrow and joy after loss — and how healing can come from allowing both to coexist.
Grief doesn’t have a timeline, and there’s no “right way” to feel. Sometimes, it’s in the small moments — laughter, memories, connection — that we find our way forward. 🌿
