Four years ago, I walked into a 100-year-old mansion on the west side of Rockford and felt my heart stop. I saw the wood carvings, the flooding light, and the potential for a home for healing.

But the heart of RealBeautifulYOU started way before those doors opened. It started through a decade of quiet struggle, 7+ years of nutrition degrees, and a personal yoga practice that became my lifeline.

I created this space because I knew what it felt like to not feel "at home" in my own body. Today, celebrating four years of growth, I am so moved by the community that has gathered here.

To the three incredible practitioners who have joined me, Alexis, Kylie, and Julie, thank you for helping bring my dream to life by providing your own charm and talent to this beautiful space. And to those of you who have walked through our doors: Thank you for being part of my "why."

Here’s to many more years of breathing, healing, and growing together. ✨

Everything is better when shared. ✨ As we look back on four years of RealBeautifulYOU, the thing we’re most grateful for is the way this community has grown.

To celebrate our anniversary on April 19th (12–4 PM), we’re opening our doors to the beautiful Emerson House and we’d love for you to bring someone who hasn't stepped inside yet!

Whether you’re a regular or just curious about our space and everything under our roof, come wander with us.

The open house event includes:

🌱 Plant + Seed Swap—Bring a propagation or unwanted plant you want to rehome and swap it for a new home.

☕ Ivy House Creative Cafe will be serving up her charming beverages.

🎨 Sarah from SRM Prints is leading a beautiful block printing activity.

April is such a very special months because it’s our birthday month! We are celebrating 4 years of RBY and the beautiful community that has been built under our roof.

Now felt like the right time to go over some House Principles we have set in place to continue making RBY that peaceful, welcoming, and loving space that it’s bloomed into these last 4 years.

This is just a loving reminder that all these policies are put in place for the respect and benefit of everyone who walks through our doors.

Our Arise + Shine classes help you transition from sleep to awakefulness. This 60-minute practice is a mindful way to start your morning, focusing on breath-led movement and a strong body connection.

Doors open 15 minutes before class (5:45 am) and lock right at 6:00 am so we can protect our collective morning stillness. 🕊️✨

Emerson House was built for intimate moments. ✨ Watching how it completely transforms when a couple steps inside will never stop taking my breath away. Like the way the afternoon light catches the original wood on the staircase while a new story unfolds... it’s easily one of my favorite parts of sharing this space. 🕊️
