Thanks to the voter-approved ½-cent sales tax and generous funding from the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board(WCCMHB), Family Counseling Services has expanded our clinical training library to better serve our community.

Resources like those listed below help our clinician’s, staff, and interns stay knowledgeable on a wide variety of topics, ensuring our care remains informed, effective, and inclusive. These training resources are a direct result of community-driven support and investment in local mental health. Thank you for helping us expand our toolbox of resources to provide the best care to the clients we serve.

Reflecting on a very busy quarter at Family Counseling Services and feeling grateful for the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board’s funding for our mission. Local nonprofits like FCS add value to our community and the recent NAMI event showcased that. To see so many invested resource providers in one space was truly inspiring. From healthcare to horseback riding, literacy programs to art therapy, this event brought together the amazing mix of resource providers our community depends on. Funding provided by the Winnebago County Community Mental Health Board and the 1/2 cent sales tax makes these events and many of the programs we provide at FCS possible.
