According to John Vinson, the state executive of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association, "Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reporting that nearly half of the record $1.6 million spent this year on lobbying in the state was on opposition to the state's bill prohibiting owning both a PBM and pharmacy. The last time so much money was spent was 2009, when the big spender was the company Altria, which was also trying to get a bill killed. Also unsuccessful. Big to***co. Big PBMs. They seem to have a lot in common."

The above info should tell you everything you need to know about how PBMs operate at the expense of YOUR healthcare and mine. It's all about $$$ to them BIG money. NC needs to follow the lead of Arkansas and ban PBMs from also owning their own pharmacies. This is unfair business in EVERY way.
