Our free community clothing giveaway with the Coastal Recovery Community Center is coming up soon! Join us on Wednesday, April 29, from 1–3 PM at 11 White Street in Rockland.

We’ll have shirts, pants, dresses, shoes, and more available for anyone who wants to browse. Everything is free, and everyone is welcome.

Help spread the word, this is a great opportunity for neighbors, families, and anyone looking for something new.

We’re excited to share that the Knox Clinic will be joining community partners at AIO Food and Energy Assistance on Friday, May 1st for a special visit from the Maternal Mobile Health Clinic.

Families can access maternal health services, lactation and feeding support, infant weight checks, blood pressure checks, perinatal mental health screenings, and more. The Oral Health Program will also be offering fluoride varnish for children, and many local organizations will be on site to support parents and caregivers.

We’re grateful to be part of this event and look forward to connecting with families in our community.

Yes, last week's post about "Knox Clinic for Exotic Animals" was an April Fools prank! But there ARE some big changes happening at our building on White Street. Renovations have finally begun!

To better meet the needs of our community, the Knox Clinic is excited to announce a major expansion of services. After careful consideration (and several conversations with a very persuasive parrot), we are officially becoming the Knox Clinic for Exotic Animals.

That’s right, starting today, we’ll be caring for iguanas, hedgehogs, parrots, sugar gliders, snakes, and any other scaly, spiky, or feathered friends who need us. We’ll be hiring a veterinarian ASAP… preferably one fluent in both bird and lizard.

Did you know the Penobscot Bay YMCA offers FREE swim lessons for kids?

Thanks to a generous grant from the YMCA of the USA, we’re able to provide free swim lessons for children ages 6 months to 12 years who meet eligibility guidelines.

We especially encourage applications from lower-income families, underrepresented communities, and children with diverse abilities or IEPs.

Water safety is a life skill every child deserves—let’s make sure more kids have access. 🌟
