Also Kacie Loparto LMT joins The Center on Tuesdays. She offers both Barefoot Bodywork sessions and Integrative Deep Tissue massage. Kacie discovered Barefoot Shiatsu in Oakland, California through a series of synchronicities. She is excited to share this technique here in Rockland. Kacie explains, "It is perfect for those who like deep pressure yet it can be tailored to fit each client. It is grounding and energizing. The Barefoot Bodywork technique relaxes the body much like the gentle rocking of the sea." This technique was developed by a woman named Shizuko Yamamoto and it combines elements of shiatsu and yoga while using the feet as the main tool. Through a series of thoughtful stretches, gentle rocking and firm foot compressions, energy begins to flow more freely through the client's body creating the space for healing to occur. Kacie is available Tuesdays by appointment.

The Center would like to welcome Taylor Ackerman, LMT...
Here is what Taylor has to say about herself...
"Taylor grew up in a culture of movement and bodywork which she credits to the insistent athleticism of her father balanced by the tai chi and massage support of her mother. As a young adult, her introduction to outdoor education, wilderness medicine and yoga fostered her curiosity to deeply understand the functioning of the human mind and body. She gained her 200hr yoga teacher certificate studying Hatha yoga from Ashiyana Yoga Center in Goa, India in 2011 and her bachelors of science in outdoor education and environmental conservation from the University of New Hampshire in 2013. Working as an EMT through college, she realized the importance of proactive and preventative health care, and that the only way to be able to support our culture to move toward a holistic, patient centered system was to gain more education and skills. She returned to school at the University of Maine and finished obtaining the prerequisites for med school in 2017. In an effort to keep her education and philosophies on healing diverse, she studied therapeutic body work modalities at the Down East School of Massage in Waldoboro, Maine. She has also studied medicinal plants since 2010 and apprenticed in Herbalism with the Earthwalk School and Maine Primitive Skills School."
Wow, what a diverse background...
Come see what Taylor can offer you...

The Center would like to welcome Haley Cooke to our group of practitioners.
Haley is a licensed and nationally board certified occupational therapist who has been serving the Midcoast community over the past 15 years. Her passion about the healing arts and mind-body connection was sparked while completing her Master's year in 2001 at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. It was during this time that she was introduced to the gentle modalities of CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki. Haley integrates her knowledge of the body systems and therapeutic skills with empathy, compassion, sensitivity and gentleness to support and restore her clients' mind-body awareness, bringing their whole self into balance. For more information or to schedule a session you may visit her website at https://www.heronsnesthealingarts.com or by calling Haley at (207)-975-1777.

Here is some information from Sid LeFavour about homeopathy and Jin Shin Jyutsu...
Homeopathy takes into account body, mind and spirit and prescribes on the whole person as man does not get sick in part. It use the principles of "like cures like" and the minimum dose to stimulate the body's natural defenses or "vital force" to heal.
Sid LeFavour's love of CLASSICAL HOMEOPATHY began as an offshore sailor far away from medical help. She knows from first hand experience how helpful it can be, if only to stabilize the patient until allopathic help can be obtained. It can also be totally curative as was her badly sprained knee sailing off the coast of Greenland. To this day she carries a small emergency kit whenever she travels. Kits can be made to fit your travels whether it be to steaming hot or icy cold climates and personalized emergency kits to fit your activities from hiking or sailing to skiing. She also makes up kits for simple injuries, new mothers, as well as colds and flu kits. Call her at 207-592-7799 to discuss your needs and timetable.
With gentle fingertip touch over clothing, JIN SHIN JYUTSU provides a powerful way to unlock the tensions of everyday living and find abundant vibrant energy that then surfaces and at the same time, recognizes that underneath lies an ocean of tranquility. This system addresses a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms helping you realign and find balance in order to manifest long lasting well being.
Sid LeFavour brings her passion for teaching self care to her Jin Shin Jyutsu practice of 'hands on healing' by giving her clients 'home play' to help with their everyday challenges and stress. By encouraging her clients to practice self help in between sessions they then can heal faster as the results are cumulative.
Both these ancient and well proven systems allow healing to arise out of the deepest intelligence of the body, mind and spirit as treatment starts with the premise that our bodies are always trying to realign and find balance-they just need a little help occasionally.

Sid LeFavour has homeopathic kits for coughs/colds/flu available for purchase for $24.95. For more information, give Sid...
