A quick note on hygiene donations! We’re currently in need of personal care items like shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, and toothpaste, especially for young people at The Landing Place.

While we appreciate all donations, full-size products, not travel size, are especially helpful. They last longer and help folks feel more comfortable and cared for, whether they’re accessing services or settling into a new home.

Donations for The Landing Place can be dropped off Wednesdays from 10am–12pm.
Homeworthy accepts donations by appointment.

Thank you for supporting our neighbors!

At Homeworthy, our mission is rooted in safety and care for all people experiencing housing instability and homelessness across Midcoast Maine. In response to recent immigration enforcement activity in Maine, we want to be clear: actions that rely on intimidation or violence harm individuals, families, and entire communities. No one should feel unsafe to leave their homes or afraid to seek shelter, food, healthcare, or support.

We stand in solidarity with our partner organizations across the state in the greater Portland and Lewiston areas, as well as with all service providers working every day to protect the wellbeing of vulnerable folks here in Maine.

Homeworthy and The Landing Place remain committed to creating welcoming spaces where people are treated with respect and compassion, regardless of background or circumstance. We believe that our communities are strongest when everyone is protected, and when care, not fear, leads the way.

A huge thank you to the team at Sail Away Maine Realty & Property Management, Inc. and friends for their donation of eight bikes to local youth! The team at Sidecountry Sports generously offered a discount on the purchase price for Sail Away - we are always floored by the support we receive from our neighbors! Thanks for helping make the holidays brighter for the young folks in our community.

COMMUNITY CHALLENGE: In honor of Giving Tuesday, our amazing friends Renovation Husbands stopped by to drop off a $1000 check for The Landing Place! If you may recall, Stephen and David renovated TLP's backyard this summer and did PHENOMENAL work -- and have been such great supporters ever since. They are challenging our community to see if their $1000 donation can be MATCHED from individual donors. Want to join the challenge? Visit our page at https://homeworthy.org/donate-now at choose "The Landing Place" as your donation designation in the drop-down menu.

THANK YOU to our neighbors for always stepping up for us!
