We serve infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities at no cost to families, and every child on our Angel Tree is personally nominated by their therapist. We also include siblings up to age 18 to support the whole family. 💙

All gifts are due December 16.
Please leave gifts unwrapped and labeled, or place them in a labeled bag/box. Donation drop boxes will be at our SCES offices this week!

6-Month Baby Milestones: Look Who's Growing! MILESTONE MONDAY!

Half a year already—your baby is becoming more curious, social, and active! Around 6 months, you may see some of these exciting milestones:

👩‍👩‍👦 Knows familiar people – That big smile when they see someone they know? Priceless.
🪞 Likes to look at themselves in a mirror – Who's that adorable baby? They’re fascinated by their reflection!
😂 Laughs – Belly giggles are coming in strong.
🗣️ Takes turns making sounds – Baby conversation is getting more interactive!
👄 Puts things in their mouth to explore them – That’s how they learn about the world (just be sure it’s safe!).
🤲 Reaches for toys – They’re getting better at using those little hands.
🚫 Closes lips to show they don’t want more food – Already practicing boundaries!
🔄 Rolls from tummy to back – Getting mobile!
🪑 Leans on hands to support themselves when sitting – Working on that balance and core strength.

💡 If you have any concerns about your baby’s development, you're not alone. Anyone can refer to Early Steps, or simply talk with your health care provider. Early support can make a big difference. 💛

We are over the moon to share that all 75 children have been chosen this year! Your kindness means the world, and we are so grateful to everyone helping us bring joy to these amazing kiddos! 🎉💫

We are still hoping to add a few Publix or Aldi gift cards to help families with their holiday meals — some are staying in motels, have special dietary needs, or are simply struggling to keep food on the table. Any amount makes a big difference. 🛒❤️

We had SO much fun at our last Cocoa Library play date of the year today! 🎶🫧 Between singing songs, blowing bubbles, dauber marker art, parachute fun, and so much more — our kiddos had an amazing time! 💛📚 Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a joyful morning! Let’s do it all again next year! 🎈✨

Missy and Mary have been working hard to get donation boxes all over town, and we’ll be on-site representing Early Steps and our Angel Tree. If you and your family want to stop by — we’d love to see you there! 💛

Join EGAD and Space Coast Early Steps at the Tree Lighting Event on Friday, December 5 and bring an unwrapped gift to support local children and families. Look for the EGAD table — every donation goes directly to families we serve.

Milestone Monday: 4-Month Baby Milestones: Look What Your Little One Can Do!

Your baby is getting more interactive and full of personality by the day! At around 4 months, you might notice these exciting milestones:

😊 Smiles on their own – Not just reflexes anymore… those grins are all for you!
😂 Chuckles – A baby's first laughs are the best sound ever.
👁️ Looks at you – They’re really starting to focus and connect.
👋 Moves or makes sounds to get your attention – Already figuring out how to communicate!
🗣️ Cooing noises – Lots of adorable "oohs" and "aahs."
💬 Makes sounds back when you talk – Baby convo is in full swing.
👂 Turns their head at the sound of your voice – They know and love that voice.
🍼 Opens mouth when seeing a breast or bottle if hungry – They’re learning how to tell you what they need.
👐 Looks at their hands with interest – Hands are becoming fascinating tools.
💪 Pushes up on elbows or forearms during tummy time – Building strength for rolling and crawling!
🎁 Holds a toy when you put it in their hand – Hello, budding motor skills.
👶 Brings hands to mouth – A classic move for comfort and discovery.
