Do you ever hear ringing, buzzing, or humming in your ears when no sound is present?
That’s called tinnitus — and it affects over 25 million Americans regularly.

Causes can include:
• Noise exposure (concerts, earbuds, loud work environments)
• Hearing loss
• Ear infections or medical conditions
• Stress and certain medications

While there’s no “one cure,” there are proven ways to manage tinnitus: sound therapy, hearing aids, relaxation techniques, and professional audiology care.

You don’t have to live with the ringing alone. Support and solutions are available. Give as a call here at Harbor City Hearing Solutions at (321) 622-6385.

Protect your hearing. Seek help early. Reclaim the quiet.

Today we celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages — a reminder that communication is a human right.

Sign language empowers millions of people around the world who are Deaf and hard of hearing to connect, learn, and thrive.

As audiologists and hearing health advocates, we honor and support:
• The beauty and diversity of sign languages
• The importance of accessibility and inclusion
• The right of every person to express themselves and be understood

Whether through hearing technology, sign language, or both — everyone deserves a voice.

Let’s work together for a world where no one is left out of the conversation.

☠️🦜 Ahoy, mateys! Today be Talk Like a Pirate Day! While ye may shout “Arrr!” and “Yo ho ho!” with yer crew, remember this: loud voices and cannon-like noises can harm yer hearing!

Protect yer ears so ye don’t end up sayin’, “What was that, matey?” more than ye’d like.

⚓ Pro tip: Whether it’s cannon fire, concerts, or construction, use hearing protection so ye can keep hearin’ the waves and the wind for many voyages to come.

On Talk Like a Pirate Day, remember:
⚓ Pirates didn’t have audiologists… but YOU do.
⚓ Schedule a hearing check before yer “Arrr!” becomes “Eh?”
⚓ Protect yer hearing so ye can enjoy all the sounds of the seven seas.

🦜 Aye, yer ears be priceless treasure — guard them well!

Today is World Patient Safety Day — a reminder that safe, high-quality healthcare is everyone’s right.

At Harbor City Hearing Solutions, we believe patient safety means more than hearing tests and hearing aids. It’s about protecting your ability to stay safe every day:
• Hearing alarms, alerts, and emergency instructions
• Staying aware of traffic and potential dangers while walking or driving
• Clearly understanding medical directions and care plans
• Ensuring hearing devices are fitted and functioning properly

Safe hearing care = safer lives. When you protect your hearing, you protect your health, independence, and safety in the world around you.

On this World Patient Safety Day, let’s remember: Hearing well is living safe.

8% of Gen Z already report ringing in their ears or hearing loss from loud music — yet most still leave the earplugs at home.

It’s time to flip the script.
• Hearing protection should be cool.
• Hearing protection should be normal.
• Hearing protection should be accessible for everyone.

Because once your hearing is damaged… there’s no turning the volume back down.

Protect your future. Protect your sound.

Since 2022, Hearing the Call, in partnership with local non profit Integra A.C., has served communities around Coatzacoalcos with mobile hearing clinics—fitting over 500 hearing aids so far and touching thousands of lives with the gift of sound.

In 2024, they embarked on the vision to build a permanent hearing healthcare clinic—a place where sustainable, long-term care can transform lives. The goal? A multi phase campaign with a total raise target of $130,000, currently at around $19,700 raised. Plus, donations up to $10K are being matched dollar for dollar.

Spread the word and help make gentle sounds and bright smiles possible—for a child, a parent, a neighbor. Every contribution echoes far beyond the device.

Harbor City Hearing Solutions is proud to sponsor Hearing the Call. We want to thank all of you for supporting us. With your help, we all are giving the gift of hearing.

Can you buy hearing aids like reading glasses?
Short answer: Not quite.

While over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids exist, hearing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Unlike reading glasses, hearing loss varies in type, severity, and cause—and a professional fitting ensures:

🔍 The right device for your needs
🎯 Precise tuning for your unique hearing profile
🎧 Better clarity and comfort not just volume
👂 Ongoing support from an audiologist

Hearing is complex. Don’t settle for “close enough.”

Get the care your ears deserve! Contact us today at (321) 622-6385 for an appointment.

About Us

Harbor City Hearing Solutions is committed to providing the best in patient care and the best in hearing devices. Our Doctor continually attends conferences and workshops to ensure she is current on research and best practices in the field of audiology. Audiology is a changing field, therefore, we need to continue to learn and grow as professionals to continue to provide the patient with the highest standard of hearing care. Bettering your hearing healthcare is an investment and together we can work together to improve your quality of life!

We also believe educating our patients as well as their families. This is an important step to successful hearing rehabilitation. We spend the time discussing and explaining the test results. Understanding your hearing loss and its impact will allow you to have a better idea of what we are trying to achieve through treatment. It will also help you understand the limitations of treatment so we can set realistic expectations.
